This family tree follows the de Lucy and Lucy family
from the late 11th century to the present day |

This family tree traces the origins of the Lucy surname from the family of
Richard de Lucy (d. 14th July 1179) and his brothers and mother Aveline
down to the present day. It includes:-
1) The original Lucy line of Richard de Lucy from Lucé in Orné, Normandy
who settled in Newington, Kent. He became the Chief Justiciar of England,
second only to the King. This primary line expired when Maud de Lucy
inheritrix of Lord Thomas Lucy quartered her arms with those of
Henry Percy on her death in 1398.
2) The Lucy line of Reynold or Reginald de Lucy (1137-1198/9) of the
Barony of Copeland and Egremont, Cumberland, the son of Richard de Lucy.
3) The Lucy line of Charlecote, Warwickshire, descended from
Cecily de Lucy, daughter of Reginald de Lucy of Egremont and created by
Sir. Thomas Lucy (1532-1600).
4) The Lucy line of Robert de Lucy (d. 1179-1205) of Elmdon, Essex,
brother of the Justiciar.
5) The Lucy line of Crichel Lucy, Dorset and Tollard Lucy, Wiltshire held by
Robert de Lucy (c1210-1261).
6) The Lucy line of Broxbourne, Hertfordshire created by Richard Lucy
(1592-1667), second son of Sir. Thomas Lucy of Charlecote.
7) The Lucy line of Daniel Lucy (1594-1627), the first to settle in Jamestown,
Virginia, New England.
8) The Lucy line of Ledbury, Herefordshire, descended from the marriage
of Jonathan Lucy (c1658-1705/6) to Anne Elton of Hazle Manor.
